29 Things You Don't Know About Me

Well, hey! Hello! Hi! I'm still alive! It has been a crazy month, but things are on the up and up. I haven't blogged in a month, and my Bloglovin reading list is bursting at the seams. I'm completely out of the blogging loop! I feel like I need to reintroduce myself! Since today is my 29th birthday and I love lists so much, here are 29 things you don't know about me:

I was spelling 12th grade words in 4th grade. (I’d like to think I was intelligent, but I probably got lucky.)

28.) My sister used to call me her black sister because of my thick, frizzy hair and ability to tan in 20 minutes.
27.) I will always believe that my brother is the sweetest guy on the planet.
26.) One of my favorite memories with my sister is spending the last week of her freshman year of college in the dorms with her when I was 14. So much freaking fun!
25.) I am a visual learner, and I am fantastic with names (including spelling) once I’ve seen them in print.
24.) The first movie to make me sob was Imitation of Life. I was 8 years old.
23.) My favorite rides at Disneyland are Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and The Flight of Peter Pan.
22.) I love "Modern Family."
21.) I was South San Diego’s Junior Miss 2001. It was a “scholarship program,” you guys. (There are quite a few Junior Miss references in the film Drop Dead Gorgeous—which is hilarious, by the way!)
20.) My coffee house go-to is a soy chai latte.
19.) My first concert was New Found Glory in 2002.
18.) I am forever indebted to my parents for giving me braces.
17.) I always have Kleenex in my purse.
16.) I kept a journal (many, actually) until I was 20.
15.) When I lived in NYC, I was comfortable navigating the subway system after one week.
14.) I like the end pieces of loaves of bread.
13.) I played Ariel in "The Little Mermaid" when I was 16. Bright red wig and all!
12.) I’m not a fan of breakfast unless it’s my dad’s French toast or hot coca with a toasted peanut butter sandwich cut into triangles (also from my dad).
11.) I only use water-proof mascara. Regular mascara never holds curl. (I curl the sweet life out of my stick-straight, Asian lashes.)
10.) I write lists with check boxes. Few things are more gratifying than checking off boxes, you know.
9.) I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket.
8.) I married up. (Cha-ching!)
7.) When I ate meat, I loved eating chicken nuggets dipped in chocolate pudding. (Wow, that sounds terrible.)
6.) I rode the bus to and from school until high school.
5.) I am painfully ticklish.
4.) Some of my favorite moments with my family are when we are laughing so hard that one or all of us have to curl up on the floor and plug our ears to calm ourselves down.
3.) I enjoy washing dishes. (I cannot say the same for cooking.)
2.) I have a tendency to watch movies I like over and over.
1.) I wish I had Eva Cassidy’s voice.

S is out of town for work, so I'm soaking up a day of doing whatever the heck I want -- complete with sleeping in this morning. Oh, and being Amelie's latest culinary masterpiece. 28 brought on a lot of (good) change, and I think 29 is going to be fantastic. Cheers to that!

We have the exact same favorite Disneyland rides! Those are the ones I would list, too :) I am also a big soy chai latte fan. So good.

Chicken nuggets with pudding sounds so incredibly gross. Maybe it's a good thing you gave up meat... ;)

Happy belated birthday lovely! I so miss seeing your beautiful face. I know we have both been absent from the bloggy world, we need to fix that!

We have a lot in common! However, my very most favorite part of this is that someone else loves Drop Dead Gorgeous. AMAZING movie!

Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan's Flight are the best! Whenever I go to Disney World I rush straight to Peter Pans flight because the line gets absolutely insane!

I am in full agreement that soy chai lattes are the best. I actually don't drink coffee but I am at Starbucks 3+ times a week getting a chai.

I didn't know you were a vegetarian. That's awesome! I have been one most of my life. I'm not going to lie...chicken nuggets dipped in chocolate pudding sounds horrible! LOL!
