Things I Learned on Our Trip to Knoxville

Knoxville Highlights 01

My husband and I can pack for a four-day/three-night trip is a single backpack.

Knoxville Highlights 02

The woman who jumps through a ring of fire while standing on two horses is my favorite cast member of “Dixie Stampede.” Yes, she jumps through fire, but she has major stage presence.

Knoxville Highlights 03

Heights make me weak in the knees, but a view of the Smoky Mountains overrides that.

Knoxville Highlights 04

Even though traveling can be stressful (read: make two people apt to bicker),
we always have a ton of fun.

Knoxville Highlights 05

It is possible to have a full, delicious vegetarian meal at Cracker Barrel
(albeit equally unhealthy).

Knoxville Highlights 06

We had to buy a snake bite kit, because we’ll be living in the country near a river.
Four words: Water mocassins. Holy shit.

Knoxville Highlights 07

I love that Knoxville is not a big city like my past homes:
San Diego, NYC, Los Angeles, and Houston.

Yesterday was my last day at my job. Bittersweet. Only a few days left in Houston before we hit the road! Ahhh! This is all happening so quickly, but looking through these photos again is making me feel so excited (except for the snake bite kit)!

So excited for y'all :)
Still can't believe that you
1. Fit everything in that tiny backpack
and
2. Just ate at Cracker Barrel for the first time

BOTH CRAZY.

Love you!

I can't believe you're moving in Knoxville! You're only about a 4 hour drive from me and I drive through there every time I go see my grandma. We're going to have to meet-up next time I'm in town, even if it's just for lunch or something!

Ummm....say wha?!?! on the water mocassins. Sketch-o-rama.

Hope the packing & moving goes very smoothly.

just one daypack? amazing! I need to learn your skills.

also, I just can't with snakes. When one comes on TV I close my eyes until matt tells me the coast is clear. I feel like I'm going to pass out every time I see one.
