A few years ago, my sister brought cream cheese croissants to Thanksgiving dinner. They didn’t last long. Those babies are Heaven wrapped in rainbows. Due to my culinary doubt, I never made them, but then I realized how easy they are to make. I highly recommend that you make these. They will have you smiling and sighing “Mmmmm” in no time.
Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Rolls
Makes 8 rolls
Makes 8 rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 tube of crescent roll dough (I used Pillsbury brand.)
- 6-8 0z. cream cheese
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- Optional: Cinnamon
Instructions:
- Unwrap dough and separate into 8 triangular pieces.
- Spread 0.5-1.0 oz cream cheese on each piece and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Roll them up, and place them on a baking sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Optional: Add “toppings.” I made 3 with chocolate chips, 3 with cinnamon, and 2 plain.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
These crescent rolls are perfect desserts for parties or for gifts. We brought some to our neighbors who took care of the cats when we went on vacation last month. They called us ten minutes after we got home to ask for the recipe. They’re a hit! (Once I figure out how to make vegan dough, I want to try a vegan version.)
Give these treats a whirl, and let me know what you think. Happy Monday, y’all!
Oh, you better wipe that drool off your chin.

Umm... Yum!! Sounds like you had a great weekend even if you were stuck studying. The most important thing is that you actually finished!
oh my dear Lord. YES. thank you.
(I've made these a few times and they're really good, but they don't have chocolate and they're a lot more labor-intensive: http://www.thekitchn.com/breakfast-recip-162823 )
Yes, please. YUM.
Anything with chocolate & cream cheese had got to be delicious!
Yes, please, I want some!! I'll make these after I try making pina colada pancakes. Thanks for sharing!
I love anything with chocolate chips! These look delicious!
Oh yum. You know me ... not a big baker... but these? Delish. I bet they would be excellent with strawberries instead of chocolate, too!
Yum!! I love this recipe because it looks like I could actually make it!! :)
Lawd have mercy. I need those NOW.
I need these in my life RIGHT NOW.
This exaggeration may have something to do with running late and skipping breakfast this morning, or it may be because I miss you... either way these look DEVINE.
These look and sound amazing! I'll definitely be trying these soon!
My mouth was totally watering! These looks delicious and super simple to make.
Yum, yum, yum! I have a pack of crescent rolls sitting in our fridge. Now I know what I'll be doing with them. These look scrumptious!
These look AMAZING. I have to bring a dessert to a dessert potluck at work and I think I may try these.
Yum!
It's always smart to keep a few fool proof deserts like this in the back of your mind. You never know when a party will sneak up or you just have a midnight craving for something sweet.
