I Hope...

... this isn't the last time I live in the same neighborhood as farm animals.

... I can better remember that I should not be eating as much food as Mr. TBS when we go out to dinner.  (I'm not kidding about that.)

... I do, in fact, complete this MBA program by spring 2015.

... I don't die of boredom when my bosses are out of the country for two weeks in December.  I'll be all alone at the office.  Blah.

... I can still shake my groove thang when I'm 80.

... I follow through with a trip to Austin (and lunch with Jenni!) before I leave Texas.

... my family knows how much I love them, even when we're upset with each other.

... a money tree grows in our backyard.

... I gain confidence in cooking.

... we get Netflix soon, because I want to embark on a Dexter marathon.  I got hooked in with that damn free three-month Showtime subscription when we moved, and now it's killing me that I can't watch the show!

... the world doesn't end on December 21, 2012.

... it gets really cold here this winter.  Come on, winter!

... Mr. TBS and I travel to Europe soon.

... I hope a kid soon follows that.  I hope I'm a good mom.

... we move to a city that has true seasons (but with a somewhat mild winter) within five years.

... Amelie and Boone live forever.

... I don't completely embarrass Mr. TBS when we finally go to Disney World and Wizarding World of Harry Potter together.  I'm going to be like a kid who got a puppy and Power Wheels on Christmas Day after eating 100 packets of Fun Dip... times infinity.  He might need one of the baby leashes for me.

Obviously, I'm in a silly mood today, but there's nothin' wrong with being hopeful for all of these things, right?  :)

Any list that includes kid leashes, wizards, and cows is a good list! Now share some of that money tree please :-)

Wizarding World of Harry Potter is amazing! I had so much fun when I went last year and definitely enjoyed some butter beer =)

I wish I made it to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter when I was at WDW last February. Sigh. But, Disney World I can give you loads of advice on if you want it! I've done it as an adult (ahem, worked there) and I jump at the opportunity to talk anyone and everyone's ear off about it!

What a wonderful list of hopes. Where abouts in Europe are you wanting to travel to? I've never been to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but in August I went on the Harry Potter studio tour which was amazing, it was all the original sets, costumes, props. I got to see how all the special creatures were made and how they did all the special effects, it was a lot of fun.

Right there with you on the food portions! Doesn't seem fair that men are supposed to eat more in my book! haha. You will sooo be a great mom when the day comes :)

Nothing wrong with it at all! I can't wait until you go to Harry Potter World either!!!! You'll LOOOOOOVE it. You can be sure I'll be back once the expansion is done - or maybe before ;-)! Hey, you should plan your Austin trip for the springtime! I'll be there then too (visiting Jenni) and we can all have a lovely old lunch! Wouldn't that be fun? :-) Hope your have a great Tuesday girl!

This is wonderful. I love it :) And I think I'm stealing this post idea, just fyi ;)

If you go Europe, take me. This isn't a joke. TAKE ME.

So there's this place called Ohio. It has all four seasons! It's beautiful! There are amish farms! I will desregard that winter is not exactly mild. BUT STILL. I am here! So just keep that in mind when you think about moving ;)

If anyone will be a good mom, it will be you! I know it. But I have the same fear.

Bahaha!!! Baby leashes! Fun dip! I'm dying. James can relate. I frequently turn into a toddler.

Nothing wrong with hoping for the future and that list looks pretty good :) Also, I'm certain I embarrassed my husband at Harry Potter world - so can you!

Ditto on the money tree! I sure could use one!!
And if you are still blogging when you are 80, please make sure to vlog with you shaking your groove thang. Now that sounded a little weird, but hopefully you know what I mean, because that would be epic!

LOL girl you are TOO funny!! I love your description of how you'll be at Harry Potter World... made me laugh out loud. I want to go back sooooo bad!!! I'm craving butterbeer!!!

And I agree with K's comment above, you should plan your Austin trip when she'll be here in the Spring! :)

It's funny that you mention Dec 21 because I remember thinking to myself 3 years ago when that became a big thing, "Great! I'm going to work this hard to finish my Master's and I'll only have 3 years to enjoy it until the world ends!" But what's awesome about that is that I look back on the last three years and I have enjoyed every minute of them, even the crappy times, and how much I've grown. I really hope the world doesn't end either, but if it does, at least I can say that I've enjoyed the ride. :)

Gosh, we are so alike!! I'm totally up for a girls trip to Austin whenever you are :)

And don't worry? Come December, we'll have lunch every day. I'll come to your office and everything!

No joke. I stopped reading at "I can better remember that I should not be eating as much food as Mr. TBS when we go out to dinner. (I'm not kidding about that."

Why? Because I have the same problem with my boyfriend. I eat just as much he does. I don't know why but I do!

Ooo and when are you going to Orlando??

My husband just told me that we're going to FL in February! I am so excited. He also told me that we're going to Harry Potter world! EEEK!! I just about died. I know I'll look like someone who escaped a mental institution because I'm going to be ridiculously giddy!

I try to eat and drink as much as my husband... Never ends well. And Austin is so, so fun, you need to visit! And, you get used to Houston's lack of seasons... Eventually!

Seriously your HOPE list sounds more like a WILL HAPPEN SOON list... you WILL complete your MBA program.. and who knows... maybe even sooner than 2015! You WILL be fine without your bosses in the office in December... it will actually give you time to catch up and breathe in the office with things that have been put off because work keeps piling up for you (at least that's how it happens at work for me!). The world WILL NOT end on a specific date at a specific time. We are in God's universe... what HE says goes. What others say can be tossed to the side with the rest of the rubbish in the world!

Love you girlie, and miss you ooberly! Glad to finally catch up with the bloggy world!

Hope your trip in Philly was a SUPERB one!

xo, Bev

Travel to Austin before you leave Texas? Please tell me that that comment is in the DISTANT DISTANT DISTANT FUTURE! RIGHT?? And of course you will be a great mom, actually, you won't be great, you will be amazing! Any little baby would be so lucky to have you as their mommy!!!
