Autumn Fun for the Family

This weekend we went to Dewberry Farm.  Mr. TBS saw an ad in the paper, and it just sounded too fun and cute to pass up!  We thought it was going to be like other farms we've seen but with some games and attractions added into the mix.  Boy, were we wrong.  Dewberry Farm is a mini theme park!  Farm animals, concession stands, hay ride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, zip line, gigantic slides, fudge shop, a massive playground, carnival games, and bottle blasters and corn cob cannons.

There was one difference between us and every other couple at Dewberry Farm.  We didn't have a kid with us, but we had too much fun to care!  It's a "Texas family tradition," and as far as I'm concerned, we "started a family" when we made the commitment to spend our lives together.  So there.  ;)

Plus, I considered it a day of research.  You know, observing parents and children in their natural habitat... of excitement and melt-downs.

UGH! I begged and prayed for the cooler temperatures to hit us in Canada because I was so over summer. But looking at your outfit makes me yearn for summer again. UGH it's currently on 1 degree celsius (34 F). Help me!

Yes you definitely are a family! This does look like fun! I can't decide which picture was my favorite: you as a bus driver or y'all lost in a corn maze? lol

Someone else I follow blogged about this place last weekend, it looks so much fun. If there was a place like this near me I'd definitely be visiting, kids or no kids. I love the "Goatel 6", really made me laugh. I'd be in the corn maze, I love mazes. I wish England "did" Autumn, but then again all our seasons have a tendency to merge in to one.

The school bus pic had me laughing!! Love the "family" comment- y'all are DEFINITELY a family, since they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes!
(yay for interspecial families, too!)

Oh, and the scarecrow "it's pleasant down that way, too!" reference? Love it!

WHAT! This looks like SO much fun! Why did I not go with you? I'm small enough to pass as a kid...you would've blended right in with everyone else then ;)

Goatel 6? AMAZING.

Who cares if you don't have a kid! I'd be all up in that place! I need to find something similar. I'm dying to find a corn maze :)

That is too funny that you were some of the only ones without kids - we went a couple of years ago when we first moved here thinking that it would be a fun activity, and we realized the same thing! I guess we're just kids at heart :)

This is what makes Autumn FUN!! Pumkin patches, kids (even if they're not our own!), and bleeding ORANGE!!!
