Downside: I didn't carpool to work yesterday.
Upside: I got to hang out with Whitney yesterday.
Upside #2: I ate at Potbelly Sandwich Shop for the first time. Mega cute country decor + good eats.
Upside #3: I hit the mat after months of being away, and it felt ridiculously good! We went to the free yoga class at the Market Street lululemon. My three-legged dog was noticeably less limber (to me, anyway), and I'm feeling some good thigh and back soreness today. Lovin' it! Whit was a total champ and powered through despite it only being her third class ever!
Upside #4: I am just as in love with my Manduka PROlite mat as I was the day I got it.
Upside #5: A shopper saw us prepping for the obligatory smart phone self-portrait and offered to take the picture for us.
Upside #6: We spent an hour in the parking garage just talking, and we were both so excited that we're alike in a lot of the ways that mean the most to us. We both admitted that we had been trying to "figure you out" since meeting. After our sighs of relief, the conversation kept pouring out. Humidity, heat, and the ever-appearing truck load of "macho" (notice the quotation marks) guys couldn't stop us!
Upside #7: Bobbi, I rarely listen to the radio in the car, but I did on my drive home through two-lane country roads last night, and our song came on (of course). I found it completely appropriate to turn it up and sing along, harmony included. I was pretend-jamming with you.
I may have strayed from my usual weekday carpooling, but I'd say yesterday was a total delight! Whitney and I may have a tradition-in-the-making on our hands.
