Welcome to San Diego!

Guess what? I want to take you on a virtual vacation to San Diego with me! What do you think? Of course, travelling with a stranger is dangerous, so hopefully you already feel like you know me. No? Well, I give you my unofficial P.R. welcome over HERE, but here are a few more tidbits about me:

I was completely in love with Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) from "Dawson's Creek" in high school.

My dream job would be Broadway musical theatre actress.

I am left-handed when I write, throw a ball, and catch a ball.
(For obvious reasons, I can never play baseball.)

When I was a kid, I reviewed movies and shows for the San Diego Union Tribune.
(Yay for free tickets!)

I have a mostly photographic memory.
If I see something printed (name, date, directions), it is highly likely that I will remember it long after.

I have sung the national anthem for some pretty large crowds (read: 60,000),
and I would still get nervous about messing up the words if I had to sing it today.

My sister and I collected snails, rolly pollies, and other bugs when we were little.
Sometimes, they went missing... in the house.

I had a speech impediment until I was 6.

My dad started teaching me to drive when I was 12.

I'm ophidiophobic.

After my first date with my now-husband, I fell hard. Completely, utterly, and undeniably enamored with him. So much so that I committed to a long-distance (San Diego to NYC) relationship with him after ten days of dating. (Talk about having faith in something!)

I grew up in San Diego, California.

How lucky am I that I will forever be able to refer to San Diego as my home? It's a great place to be able to to "go home" to!

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite things to do back home over at Paper Notes! Take a virtual vacation with me to San Diego. Join me at Allie's blog! Please show her some blog love!

Oh, would you look at that? I've already packed.

YOu are just too cute! Can you take me with you too? My parents actually lived there for a year, and they loved it!

That is so funny! I'm such an east coast girl but if I could move anywhere different it would definitely be San Diego or somewhere else in Southern Cal! Love it there :) What a cool place to have grown up!

I agree! We are so lucky that "going home" means we basically get to go on vacation to one of the most beautiful places. I'll say hi for you when I'm there in a few weeks!

Ha haha! I wish it was that easy to pack!

Hehe, I have a simliar picture of me in a dryer. And yes, someone actually turned the dryer on..only for a couple seconds but still, I was fluffed!

Heading over to Paper Notes now :)

Sooo now I'm going to go to San Diego to all your favorite places and pretend you're my tour guide. Then it's like we're taking a trip together, right? :D

I traveled to San Diego a couple years ago and fell in love with it! I wish I had the guts to move there but Alabama is home & I know NO one that lives even in the state of California so I am too scared to do it!

Not Exactly What I Planned...

I LOVE that you have a suitcase that you are able to fit into! I clearly need to buy a bigger suitcase, so that I can start taking people with me on adventures.

Ooohh I loved Pacey too!! I'm very impressed that you sang in front of that many people! I'm a pretty good singer myself but I'm terrified to sing in front of people. And San Diego is definitely on my list of places I want to go. I always hear amazing things about it!

I can read your blog because you have a custom URL...but for **whatever** reason, this hotel's internet won't let me access any blogspot URL's. Boo! So there's no catching up on blog reading for me.

Jeff & I started long-distance pretty much from the get-go too, although it was only between Redlands & San Pedro. So nothing compared to cross-country...but still 90 miles of hell on the 91 freeway, which meant hours upon hours of traffic in order to see each other. Of course, I conned Jeff into doing most of the commuting ;)

Miss you my ballsy, talented, left-handed BBFF!

We are so similar it's scary!

First off, you could TOTALLY be a baseball player. My dad was a left handed all star baseball player ;)

1. I have an absolute, totally photographic memory. Plus name any day and I will tell you what I wore and everyone around me. It's my creepy quirk.

3. I used to sing the national anthem at high school sports games. Totally not 60,000! I would have a heart attack and die.

4. I was obsessed with bugs when I was a kid too! I used to dig up worms all the time.

5.Ophidiophobic: ditto. That's all I can say or I'll stop breathing.

I love the photo of you in a suitcase :) And you. Thanks for sharing about our wonderful city!

You are too cute!!! It's funny, Josh and I spent less than 2 days together when I went out to visit Utah the summer before I started my Senior year in high school. After that sparked we carried out a long distance relationship for the next year until I moved out there for school! When you know, you know! xo
