Mr. TBS did something amazing this weekend. He decided he was going to
try his hand at homemade German apple strudel! He found a recipe at The Taste Space, and the fun began! I took pictures, because I had never seen a dessert made on a table cloth, and the blogger in me said it was worth documenting. Take a look!

Is that cool or what?!
This strudel is outside of our usual healthy eating, but it had to be done. My husband is becoming one heck of a chef. (I just need to make sure my waist line doesn't pay the price!)

While he was busy being Chef TBS, I made my strawberry lemonade. (He always shows me up in the kitchen. I accept that.)

I'm sure my MIL would be thrilled to know that my contribution to the strudel was securing the table cloth with clothes pins and peeling and cutting the apples. *curtsy* I'm such a stellar domestic goddess.
If you are a human being, and you eat food,
you have to make this strudel!
You can find the Taste Space recipe HERE. Enjoy!

WHAT?! This is amazing. I am the worst pastry maker ever. I have attempted to make pastry three times and honestly each attempt was worse than the next. I am honestly impressed with your husbands ability to roll out dough like that. You should tell him that I need him to record a VLOG on how to properly do this. For realz.
And umm.. mail me some strudel. Until then - I'm chowing down on Toaster Strudel.
Hahaha! This is amazing, love the idea of the tablecloth!
This looks seriously delicious!

Eek! I commented on this photo on instagram over the weekend! I didn't realize it would be what you were gonna post when you wrote on twitter last night :)
I told you over the weekend, that when I studied in Austria I learned how to make apple strudel (or apfelstrudel in German)! I took a cooking class and I can tell you that the way you all made it is the legit/authentic way of making it!
How fun..love this post! :)
Ummmm YUM!
What a wonderful man you have there!!
oh yum! that looks great!
it looks so light & flaky! ..and like a whole lot of work. Patience, especially in the kitchen, is a virtue :)
He should've made it when we came to visit!
He did an awesome job! Looks delicious, I could so go for a piece right now haha. Your pink lemonade looks refreshing too!
UM YUM !! Okay, when I clear off my kitchen table I am making this. My mouth is watering!
This is absolutely awesome and looks soooo delish!!! What a top man you have there.
Your husband has patience, that looks like quite the project. However, the result looks so delicious! Yum!
Oh my word you are amazing!! That is hardcore baking right there!! :) I want some!
Hahahaha "if you are a human being and you eat food." Girl, you KNOW I will be making this at some point. Wait. I have no kitchen table or tablecloth! Whatever will I do?! I will improvise, because this needs to be made and eaten immediately. :)
Whoa, that looks legit! I'm impressed!
AH!
I kind of wish that I didn't see this, because it looks TOO good. DANG!
And girl - no shame...Adam owns me in the kitchen! But I can clean like no one's business ;)
LOVE YOU!
xo
Your husband is one very talented man. Once I figure out where we have enough space to do this, it will go on the list of things to make. Brilliant.
