High Five!

One thing you should know about me is that I love high fives.  I really like hugs, too, but I don't want to encroach on the personal space of others'.  Thus, high fives are healthy alternative.

This week has been so great that I really wish I could high five Life.
(In my book, "high five" is also a verb.)

Did you hear that, Life?  You're really awesome, and I want to high five you.

Here are five reasons why:

{ ONE }

In three weeks, I'll be in San Diego!
A best friend's wedding and family time.  What more could I ask for?

{ TWO }

I now drive 40 fewer miles per day.
That's 200 fewer miles per week.
800 fewer miles per month.
(clouds part, angels sing)

I received an incredible e-mail in response to my post about American Sign Language!

 * Auslan is Australian Sign Language.
** I didn't ask permission to post the e-mail, so this person shall remain anonymous.

This e-mail made me feel equally inspired!
Every day, I am amazed at how blogging connects and inspires people!

{ FOUR }

A new home is a clean slate.
A chance to rearrange furniture, visualize a new space, explore a new neighborhood.
It's also an opportunity to create new habits and routines.

{ FIVE }

These signs line some of the main roads near my work:

Of course, I'm linking up for...

I couldn't be more ready for this weekend.  Mr. TBS and I are going to try to make it to the local farmers' market tomorrow... if I don't sleep in too late.

What are you doing this weekend?

YAY getting to go back to SD… I am heading back to see my family this weekend so I know how excited you must be!!

YAY for a shorter commute ESPECIALLY in Houston traffic …TW/ TB traffic doesn't even COMPARE to inside the loop!

Hope you get to go to the farmers market! I have been dying to go to one!!

XO happy Easter!

We are *meant* to be friends! From my FB "about", up since the time of no statuses: "I think the world would be a better place if there were more high fives."
Also, I tried to post a comment back on your moving post about how one of the greatest parts of moving (to me) is rediscovering what I already have- repurposed furniture, decorative items that didn't quite fit right in the old house are suddenly perfect, etc. So I'm glad you're enjoying that side of moving, too!
Have a great weekend!

Set your alarm! Farmers Markets are the greatest!

Gotta love being closer to work, especially with these gas prices!

Happy Easter :)

I've always been fascinated by ASL, but have never sat down and taken the time to learn. I took a very basic class about 8 years ago and obviously I've forgotten most of it. Any tips for picking it up again?

Screw high fives - if, I mean WHEN, I meet you in tea life I'm totally bombarding you with a big, giant, over the top hug :) Just saying.

Can I just tell you that I love your attitude?
I really do.
Your posts always make me smile (okay except yesterday's post...yikes!) :)

YAY for driving less - the same thing happened to me when I moved. I cut my driving time to work from 1 hour and 15 minutes to about 35 minutes...AWESOME.

Can't wait to see pictttchas of the new place!

AND every time I see Earth Day in my planner I think of you. Is that weird?

High Five sista! So excited for you to be living in your new place commuting less. When I worked in New York, I commuted 4 hours daily to & fro. By train. Not kidding. Have a super duper fun weekend in San Diego. Wish I was living in La Costa again. SOO beautiful. Such is life! Hasta luego!

You will have a blast in San Diego! I bet you cannot wait. And how awesome that you cut that many miles off of your daily commute. When we bought our house, my commute tripled from 5 minutes to 20 minutes which still isn't that bad.
