GFC's Houdini Act & What That Means For You

Have you heard the news?

Google is ousting Google Friend Connect (that gadget with the blue "Join this site" button on my left sidebar) on March 1 for all non-Blogger blog sites.  *sound the choir of sighs*  Can you believe it?  Trial By Sapphire is not even one month old yet, and I'm already going through my first blog break-up... around Valentine's Day, no less!  But no worries.  There are still plenty of ways to keep up with TBS.

You can subscribe and choose how you would like new posts delivered to you.  Even e-mail is an option!  How easy is that?

Let this be your one-stop shop for all your blog reading.  Simply "Follow" Trial By Sapphire, and all new posts will pop up on the homepage every time you log in!

Want another easy option?  "Like" the TBS Facebook page.  Status updates will include links to the newest posts, announcements, and awesome things I want to share with you.

This is one of my favorite ways to keep in touch with readers and other bloggers!  This is not a personal Twitter account; therefore, I can guarantee that my tweets are meant for my readers and my readers only.

Well, this has nothing to do with TBS directly, but check out all the neat pins I'm loving!

Google+  = coming soon... if it's requested  ;-)
Opinions requested!  Do any of you use Google+?  Would this be a likely subscription method for you?  Please share your thoughts!

All of the accounts listed above are dedicated to this blog, and I will not inundate you with countless updates and tweets throughout the day.  So pick what works for you, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

And lastly, I love every single comment and message I get through TBS, and I'd love to respond to them.  Really!  So please make sure I can see your e-mail address.  Follow these steps:
  1. Go to your your Google/Blogger profile
  2. Click "Edit Profile"
  3. Under Privacy, check the box next to "Show my e-mail address"
  4. Click "Save Profile" at the bottom of the page

Now I'll be able to reply to your comments via e-mail!  Thanks for reading my growing blog.  You've been so supportive, and it makes blogging that much more rewarding!  THANK YOU!

WHAAA?! Why would they do that!? I guess we all have to switch to the other's as you have said, and maybe the networked bloggers silly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Since GFC is sticking around for Blogger blogs....should we be concerned? And, are you a fan of blog lovin' or just testing the waters? I'm looking to get some feedback on it!

I know. I am annoyed by this change too *grumpyface*
I think it's being kept for Blogger blogs (like yours) for the time being, but I bet it'll be completely discontinues eventually. You can also try for a similar widget someone has invented as replacement. It's not very widely used yet, but hopefully it will be soon!

Just dropping by from #FF.
